Happy New Year (a week late)
OK, so it has taken me a week to get settled back in from the holidays. We were out of town for new year's with my hubby's side of the family--his sister even flew in from Shanghai to be with the whole clan. It rarely happens that all of us can be together (5 siblings, plus spouses and kids!), so it was special.
Unfortunately our son spent much of his holidays under the weather. The day after Christmas we discovered that he had his first ear infection, we treated him with "the pink medicine", and when we were finished with that, we came down with another virus, spiked another fever this past weekend, and we are off to the drs. tomorrow. He's got a nasty cough too. In this whole process, he's decided that he's not interested in nursing anymore...which has been a little emotional for me. But life goes on. No one told me how difficult it is to watch your child when they are sick, and feel absolutely helpless to make it better for them. We can't believe he will be 10 months old this weekend.
