Family Time at the Cabin
We spent Labor Day weekend up at our family cabin with some of our extended family. It was the first time we've been out of town all summer, and I was SO excited about that! After waiting for the baby to be born, and to be old enough to travel, we finally got out of the house! Not to mention getting a break from the hot summer weather...
Our immediate family shared one room, which actually went pretty smoothly. We were able to do our middle-of-the-night feedings without our son waking up. Then, when our kids DID wake up, we had early morning babysitters (aka grandparents) so we could sleep in--heaven!
We also met some cabin neighbors, of particular interest is another 3 year old boy, with the same name as our son. They made fast friends and had fun throwing pinecones, rocks, playing in the "muddy river," building dams, and digging in the dirt. Our cousins from San Diego were there also, who are always fun to play with.

Here are some more photos of our Labor Day weekend, & our 5 week old's first trip to the cabin!
Chillin on the deck
J's first rowing experience...he wouldn't hand the oar over, had to do it himself!
Ever the rock collector, our son could spend hours chucking rocks into the water
Ready for more adventures!
