Snow Trip

We somewhat spontaneously decided to visit our family cabin in the snow this past weekend. The weather was beautiful, and it was our son's first trip to the snow. Our cabin is a little over a mile from the parking lot, and the road isn't clear in the winter. So we put on some snowshoes, and hiked in. It was a beautiful hike. Our son loved the mountain air, and all the trees and snow to look at. My husband was quite manly, pulling the sled with all of our supplies in it.

We bundled our little one up and let him sit in the snow. We were hoping he would enjoy playing with the snow, but after a few minutes of just sitting, he started to fuss. We think maybe the moisture was starting to soak through his pants! Who knows? We had fun anyway! Maybe he will get more into the snow next year...
