Sweet Sixteen (Again)

Last weekend I had the honor of attending one of my best friend's 16th birthday party. Actually it's her second 16th birthday party. She chose to celebrate her (ahem...) 35th b-day with a totally 80's themed party. We were all encouraged to wear 80's attire and the DJ only played 80's tunes all night. We had a blast. I did manage to squeeze into my prom dress from high school, and wore that for a couple of hours. After the dinner and lots of jumping in the bounce house, we took our son home to his grandparents to sleep for the night, so that we could dance the rest of the night away! We were surprised when my husband's best friends showed up, also dressed for the 80's.

Wow, it was just so much fun to have a few hours free from parenting responsibilities and to reminisce with some fun music. We also remembered why we always looked so goofy at school dances in the 80's too...much of the music is pretty hard to dance to. Great to sing along with, though!

I'm just wondering how you could keep the high school dress for so long and it still fitted you!

Awesome, cool, radical and all those other 80's words I can't think of right now! You look more beautiful in that dress today than you did when we were 16! What fun!
