Our 3 Month Old

We now have a 3 month old and a 3 year old in our house. Some of our 3 month old's new tricks include: cooing and squawking, rolling from her back up onto her side (but not all the way over to her tummy yet!), sleeping 9-10 hours at night, sleeping in her own room & crib, sucking on her hand, grabbing at toys overhead, and watching her big brother with wide eyes and lots of curiosity! She is taking in everything and is a really happy and content baby.

Her 3 month old birthday happened to be Halloween, so we had to dress her up a little:

But the real fun came later that evening when we dressed up in our Halloween costumes.

For three years now, we have tried to coordinate our costumes to include everyone in our family. The first year we were beekeepers, "keeping" our little bee:

The next year we were TV personas, Zoboomafoo & the Kratt brothers

Can you guess what we were this year? Here's a clue:

With a banana, goes Curious George & The Man With the Yellow Hat

My husband's costume was definitely my favorite part of this ensemble. The best part is that he was totally into making his costume. He even went out on his lunch break from work to find a shirt and to buy dye and spray paint. He actually dyed a pair of own his pants to make this outfit! (The only contribution I made to the costume was making his tie.) It makes me smile just seeing how he wanted to get into it with the kids. Unfortunately, since there is no Woman in the Yellow Hat, Mama was left out of the costume this year. Oh well! The important thing was that we all had a fun evening celebrating with friends and family.

We saw you guys from afar that night... Thought that the guys' costumes were awesome (particularly Allen's)! I didn't realize that Nia was a banana- that makes the "theme" even more perfect!

did you make the costume for J and N? Did you make Allen's hat? They are so cute!

Anthony said that there was a woman in the Curious George show, the SMART Professor Wiseman! :) He also said that he would have eagerly anticipated you in a white lab gown and nerdy glasses...! :D

I did think about Professor Wiseman, but in the old-school books there isn't really a woman, so I got out of it this year! and no, I didn't make anyone's costumes this year, we bought or borrowed everything.
