Productivity

We've had gorgeous weather here lately, so I was trying to get some work done in our front yard while it was sunny and warm. I had wanted my son to play independently while I worked and my daughter was inside napping...or so I thought. Needless to say, my work did not go as I'd planned. Before long I was feeling completely annoyed & frustrated because, well, my kids just weren't letting me be productive!

As they were sitting eating the snack I gave them (to try and keep them occupied, of course!) I watched them eating and playing together. They were so happy. And I realized (again) that slowing down and enjoying them is way more important than laying weed mat & mulch down over my garden (ahem...weed bed).
