Christmas Photos

Christmas this year was a great time to reflect and celebrate. I've spent some time pondering what it must have been like for God to send Jesus here to earth as a baby, especially since I've had the experience now of caring for a newborn. It is such an amazing thought to me that God would come to earth as a frail and vulnerable baby.

Speaking of vulnerable, our little one came down with a cold and a fever the night before Christmas Eve. We're not sure what kind of infection his little body is fighting, but it made our Christmas celebration a little more subdued. On Christmas Eve, our normally very active boy just sat in our laps, letting us read books to him and watching a video. We enjoyed the extra cuddles, but we just want him to feel better soon! We still enjoyed Christmas festivities with both sides of our family, and especially enjoyed having our siblings and cousins here from Kansas City. We hope all of your Christmases were merry and bright.
