Comings & Goings

"Every parting is a form of death, as every reunion is a type of heaven." ~Tyron Edwards

This week we experienced both the sadness of saying good bye, and the joy of welcoming family home. We were happy to greet my brother, his wife and their 3 children at the airport on Thursday night. They'll be staying in town for 6 weeks, as my brother is doing some work here. It was our first time meeting our new baby niece, and she is just precious! And our son is loving having his cousins in town to play with.

Two days later, we made a trip to the train station to say farewell to Uncle B, my husband's cousin, who has been staying with us for the past couple of months. He was a wonderful addition to our home, a fellow foodie, and a loving uncle to our son. It was hard for our son to watch him leave and he keeps asking where he is. I love this picture of them together.

We had the chance to have everyone together for dinner on Friday night at a Mexican restaurant, (which was formerly an Asian restaurant, so the interior decor was Mexi-Asian). Besides the interesting decorations, the food was great, and the company even better!

So, welcome to my brother & his family! We're so glad you're here. And thanks Uncle B, for everything, we will miss you!!

i noticed in your last picture that J was not sitting next to you. is he getting to the age where he'd rather have his cousins than papa and mama? =)
