Legoland

So we spent last Thursday at Legoland, and it was a fun place to be! We'd heard mixed reviews about the theme park, but we weren't disappointed. I don't think you can compare it to Disneyland (really? What can compare to Disney?), although for the price, you might be tempted to. Legoland is really more geared for younger kids, I think the interest level might top off near 10 years old. The height limit for most of the rides is low enough so that our 3 year old could ride most of the rides, which was nice. It was also nice going on a weekday, not during the summer, because lines were shorter. Waiting much longer for the rides might have felt more frustrating.

We also wondered if our son would be interested in the Lego theme, since he's really too young to be into Legos yet. There were some neat Lego creation stations, but there were so many other things to do, we didn't feel like we missed out.

Our Legoland highlights:
Bob the Builder 4D show
Our son driving his own car
The boat rides
The Fire Truck family relay race
The Fireman Show
The Dragon roller coaster (our son's favorite)
Tasty and healthy food choices
Other things to do besides just rides

Lowlights:
Expensive
Most rides would only allow for 2 riders (one adult, one child), so it is suited more for families of even numbers.

Here are some of our favorite photos:
