6 Months Old

How time flies! We can hardly believe that our little girl is already half a year old! Her latest tricks are: lots of babbling and cooing, rolling across the room to get where she wants to go, sitting up on her own (for at least a few seconds before she topples over), & eating rice, sweet potatoes, avocados, squash & pears. She has eagerly taken to eating and we think she will be outeating her big brother before too long!

Other things she does: she has already traveled all over the state. She's played at the beach and in the snow. She hangs out with international students every Friday & is very patient with being passed around to everyone. She loves to be around people and is very happy as long as there are people around, or even better, people holding her. Thankfully she is a pretty good sleeper. She usually takes two good naps each day, and sleeps for about 10-11 hours at night. I think we may finally be over the hump of waking up for feedings during the night (maybe...for now at least). She lights up whenever her big brother is around, and she actively grabs for any object that is within reach, then brings it to her mouth. She has no teeth yet, and no signs of any coming soon. This is fine with me, since I think toothless grins are SO cute!

Needless to say, this little pun'kin brings so much joy & love to our family. We love her SO much and are so thankful that God has entrusted her to us. We want to fully enjoy each day, because they are moving fast.
