Eating Solid (sort of) Foods

Well, now that our son is 6 months old, we can feed him all sorts of new foods. At the beginning of this month, we started with watered-down (or milked-down, I should say) rice cereal. He had to learn how to take food from a spoon, and not thrust his tongue out, as he does when he drinks milk. It took him a few days to get used to it, but now he eagerly opens his mouth at mealtimes. In fact, he usually cries when the food is "all gone." So far he's eaten rice cereal, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, and just today he got plums for the first time. Yum-Yum! Here is a video of the first time we fed him: enjoy!
