Memorial Day Weekend
OK, so this post is one week late. In case you haven't already seen the photos and read about on the Mack family website, here are a few photos and a description of our fun Memorial Day weekend in the snow...yes, Memorial Day in the SNOW!
We headed up Saturday morning to our family cabin with some friends and to our pleasant surprise, the roads had finally been cleared! Instead of the 1 mile snow hike that we were anticipating, we drove almost up to our cabin driveway. Hooray!
We spent the long weekend relaxing on the deck, eating yummy food, watching the kids play "orphanage" in the secret room, going for short hikes, and visiting the lakeside to watch birds and throw rocks to our hearts' content. And, on one picnic hike, we even got to enjoy a little bit of sledding.
It was a relaxing and fun weekend, building good memories and sharing with friends. The only downside of the weekend...the Land of the Lost movie...did we really need to watch THAT?!?!?
